California, here we come!

So we got up this morning, had breakfast at a nice little cafe and we sat at the counter and watched the world go by. That is I 101 right out the window.

On the wall was this cool guitar time machine.  I asked to use it and was granted permission. I went back to the 80's and cut my hair to something more respectable and returned to the cafe and my bill was paid! Time travel is awesome!
We saw this van...what the heck, it's a teapot!
So we went back to our campsite and packed everything up. We were on the road and the fog was pretty bad.

Soon we left Oregon and was in California!  I'm not good at this selfie thing...but I tried!

Then we were in the Redwoods!  Totally awesome to see these trees that grow to 300+ feet and can be as old as 2000 years old!
Notice Scott for an idea of how big they are.
We stopped filled out tanks with petrol and then had lunch at The Lighthouse Cafe in Trinidad, CA.  What a gem, I had the blackened fish and a waffle cone with mashed potatoes (their specialty).  Wow it was all good.

The Forrest was amazing, it was great to sit and listen to the wind blowing through the Redwoods.  There were nice paths to follow and see all of the trees. I definitely think trees have personalities!
That's Scott watering that 1000+ year old tree! I hope it survives.
Soon the temperature reached the mid 80's so stopped to take a break and took a nap in the Humboldt Redwood area.  Here is Scott napping and snoring it up.

I finally found a tree that makes me look small !  :)

My view looking up...

I love trees!  It was great to see the Redwoods!  Everyone should do the same!

So then we kept riding...and we were going through the mountains and it was way hot!  I saw 99F..and to think when we left this morning it was 54F!
I think my temp gage says 97F in this picture.
I had to stop here and get a picture of Red Velvet and Bigfoot.

We were hoping to get to Santa Rose today but the hott weather got to us and we stopped in Willits, CA and got a room at the Super 8. We needed A/C and a bed to sleep in.  Dinner was here...and it was better than the place looked.

Saw a nice MG...so MG took a picture of the MG!

Last but not least, I got a cute picture of Bo from Cathy! :)

Tomorrow we decend further into California on famed State Route 1. I can't wait!
