Day 2 in awesome Oregon

I did not sleep well last night.  There is an alarm warning bell that warns boats approaching the harbor near where we camped.  It was just an annoying to ring often enough to bug me.  We woke up and the weather was beautiful, we went to breakfast at the Pigs-n Pancake and then we packed up to get on the road.
Red Velvet and Scott's bike made a friend, a green Victory of all things.
The sights were spectacular...

Scott just got done watering that bush.

Notice the lady pushing her bike up this bridge. We see a lot of bicyclists on the 101...pretty amazing riding for them too.

This was a step climb up to this bridge. Red Velvet steered while I took the pictures.
Taking in the sights from the bluffs like this is just amazing.
Notice the lighthouse.  A beautiful spot to tend to a lighthouse back in the day.
So while I was riding today my thoughts were with Cathy.  Leaving her, the boys and the dogs, is hard on me...I think of them often. Today it was Cathy.  Yesterday I talked to her in the evening as I knew she was traveling back from the weekend visiting her cousins Kim and Stephanie.  When she answered, she said she was upset about Indy, our 17 year old beloved dog who recently passed away.  She was upset because Conor had brought home a puppy from friends out near our cabin.  Cathy was not ready for Conor to do that, so there was drama at home, while I am away..yuck.

So today I talked to Cathy and Conor and it sounds like they worked things out w/out me being there and I am happy to introduce you to "Bo", the new Grewell puppy!  He's a cutey and I can't wait to meet him!

Conor sure is getting some use out of my truck while I am away ;) here is Bo sleeping in Conor's bow case while he was target practicing.
I can't emphasize how great Oregon is...the state parks have been great!  Every night we have camped  near the beach, the campsites are really nice and private, and everything is very clean. I am impressed.

This is a selfie of me lying on some old pavement about 500 ft above the ocean. I was waiting on Scott to catch up with me and the heated pavement felt awesome on my back. :)

Today we rode through areas of Oregon famous for the sand dune riding. Every vehicle was pulling quads, jeeps, side by sides...I know Conor would be in heaven here for the off roading.
The following pictures are from the beach very near our campsite here at Harrison Beach State Park. I hope to rest well tonight. Tomorrow we go on to California!
